Day 1: Saigon - My Tho - Cai Be (L, D)
Pick up at your hotel and travel to Cai Be, around two hours driving. We leave behind the noisy and chaotic world of motorbikes and skyscrapers in Saigon and head to a land where the water is immense, the sky is clear, the air is fresh and the people are warm hearted. Welcome you to Mekong Delta, Vietnam’s rice basket, the “Land of Nine Dragons”.
Arriving at Cai Be town, we sail leisurely through the Cai Be Floating Market to admire interesting local way of life. On the brown water flow, hundreds of sampans loaded with fresh produce are arranged by groups here and there, crossed by small service boats of café or soups. For photographing, we get closer to the stern used as their home, we could be startled by a sudden dog bark but the owner, a vermicelli soup seller would greet us with a generous smile. All seasonal produce from the Mekong Delta such as rice, vegetables, fruit, fish, and poultry are gathered here before being distributed to local markets.
After visiting the floating market, we land on a luxuriant garden that is tastefully designed as an accommodation complex called ”Mekong Lodge”, a pure eco-resort with 30 elegant traditional style cottages built in beautiful harmony with surrounding landscapes.
Mekong Lodge is perfect for your retreat, a complete escape from city bustle. There are many interesting activities to help you truly integrated into local life: biking around the lush rice fields, go fishing with locals, helping farmers growing vegetables or try your hands on cooking some favorite local delicacies.
Day 2: Cai Be - Vinh Long - Tra On (B, L, D)
In the morning, the noise of the floating market wake you up, visit the daily life of the local people who live on both sides of the Mekong river, breakfast on board.
After breakfast, explore the lively Cai Be floating market in the morning.
Walking for visit a handicraft village of the local people then sightseeing the old house and sample various tropical fruits.
Continue boat trip to Mekong Lodge – an eco-resort Mekong Lodge includes 29 private pretty bungalows and River View Restaurant, stretched in an area of more than 10.000 m2 lays just beside the Tien River.
Visit Mekong Lodge and walking around this area to see local people who are doing daily activities.
12h00pm return to Le Cochinchine boat, up for cruise to continue to Can Tho via Cho Lach and Tra On.
Lunch on board.
Up to river tide, disembark and make a pleasant walking or biking on the footpaths of the countryside to discover tropical fruit orchards and the local people\'s activities, especially somes orchards (orange grove) with its famer.
Cruise to continue to Tra On. Enjoy the magnificent sunset on the river. Leisurely cruise up the Mekong River while enyoying the beautiful scenery and the aperitifs, sunset cruise .
A wonderful day with picturesque ferry crossings over Mekong River branches. Dinner and nite on board in Tra On.
Day 3: Can Tho - Saigon (B)
Breakfast on board.
Visit Cai Rang market one of the most bustling floating markets in Mekong Delta with hundreds of small boats barging and jostling for space as owners attempt to sell their goods. A small boat will take you through the palm-shaded creek to see local houses and green orchards.
Check out and disembark at 10h00am. Tour end.
Return HCMC by car. End of our service.
